Riya, a talented student of class IX from Darshan Academy, Hisar, made her city and school proud by securing a gold medal in the 47 kg girls’ cadet category at the 4th Cadet & Junior National Taekwondo Championship held in Dehradun. The prestigious event, organised under the banner of India Taekwondo, witnessed participation from over 800 skilled athletes across various states. Representing Haryana, Riya outperformed all her competitors with remarkable strength and determination. Selected among nine athletes from Hisar, her stellar performance has earned her a place in the upcoming international championships. Her achievement is a testament to her discipline, training and unwavering dedication to the sport.
